After someone told me that, I never told anyone again. I thought they were right. Seeing this just reminds me that they weren’t. This Girl didn’t deserver what happened to her, neither did I, and neither did any other person this has ever happened to. Boys are raped to, do they ask for it? No. They don’t wear skirts, do they!? Clothing has nothin to do with it, people shouldn’t defend the sickos that do this to other human beings. This is from the slut walk. One of the arguments is that girls ask for rape because they wear slutty clothes, short skirts, tight, low-cut tops. This girl is an example of the fact that rape victims can look like anyone, you, me, this girl. Rapists. Dont. Discriminate.
I promised a long time ago that I’d reblog this whenever I saw it on my dash. No regrets, it breaks my heart every single time.
an incredibly important message, rape is rape. no one is ever asking for it. a woman has the right to dress how ever they want - it is society that identifies risque dressing as ‘asking for it’, and in my opinion, that way of thinking needs to be diminished.
Always, always reblog.
you can see the brokenness in her eyes, and her little smile.
I can only imagine what kind of strength it took for her to wear those clothes again after what happened to her while she was in them
i can’t believe people say they “ask for it” they obviously don’t that’s why its called rape?
deep
I hate to, guys.

To be honest, I didn’t even know there WAS a film. I probably won’t go though. It’s not that I don’t want to, it’s just that I rarely go to see movies anymore ‘cause I’m too busy.

“For example Paul Revere’s Ride is a big famous thing, but one, he was one of twenty people that went on that ride, two, he didn’t even make it all of the way there and three, they weren’t yelling - they were going from house to house because it was a mix of loyalists and patriots. Because in those days everyone was British - there was no America yet. So what they were saying was “the regulars are coming” and they were whispering it because they didn’t want the loyalists next door to hear.
That’s how that actually unfolded and it’s actually a more interesting story than what people have come do know. The reason people don’t know now is because in the mid-19th century this guy was writing a song about the American Revolution to try and galvanise America with the threat of the Civil War, and Revere rhymed in the song. Now he’s this legend, but it’s not actually what happened.”

oh my god my life is a lie.
I just love that I’m sitting here on my floor at 11 o’clock p.m. eating Captain Crunch from the box while wanting to cry my eyes out. (Tears don’t seem to be forming, though.) I suppose I’ll just sit here and continue to eat… yum.
